Kasamatsu Park is a premier observation park located in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, offering a spectacular view of Amanohashidate from the north side. Situated at a high elevation, it provides a panoramic view of the entire sandbar. The park is most famous as the birthplace of the "Matanozoki" (looking through one's legs) tradition, a ritual where visitors look through their legs to see the landscape upside down. From this perspective, the sandbar appears to be a dragon ascending to the heavens, a sight known as "Shoryukan" (the view of a rising dragon), which continues to captivate visitors from around the world.
