Ryuo Ski Park is a premier ski resort located in Yanoshinomachi, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture. The facility is highly convenient, featuring a massive parking area capable of holding 1,500 vehicles, and a well-equipped Center House that includes snowboard school reception and changing rooms.

The peak season is from January to March, when the snow quality is at its best. During this time, the powder zones are highly recommended for an authentic mountain experience. For those who want to extend their day, night skiing is available after 17:00. Night lift tickets can be purchased starting from 16:45, offering a unique way to enjoy the illuminated slopes under the stars.

Whether you are looking to master a new trick or simply enjoy a scenic ride, the resort offers various levels of progression. You can sign up for professional snowboard schools to refine your technique. The ropeway provides easy access between the Valley and Skyland areas, ensuring you can reach the best terrain easily. Additionally, the on-site pro shop allows you to prepare or adjust your equipment with the latest gear.
Ryulo Ski Park is easily accessible via the Joshin-etsu Expressway (using the Shinshu-Nakano IC) or via Routes 292 and 403. The resort is part of a larger winter sports network in Nagano, situated near other popular areas like Kita-Shiga Highland, making it easy to plan a multi-day ski trip through the region.
Proper winter gear is essential; please ensure you have high-quality ski/snowboard wear, gloves, goggles, and thermal layers. The Center House provides changing rooms for your convenience. When paying for lift passes, please note that an IC card deposit of 500 JPY (cash) is required, so we recommend carrying some cash.
