The Oniki Rice Terraces are a vast expanse of terraced fields located at the foot of Mt. Kokuzo in the southeastern part of Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture. Spanning an area of approximately 22 hectares, the sight of 400 terraced paddies layered upon one another has earned this site a place among the "Japan Top 100 Rice Terraces." The elegant curves of the paddies, following the natural topography, create a breathtaking view that captivates all who visit.
