Omiya Hana no Oka Norin Koen is a beautiful agricultural and forestry park located in Nishi-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. The park is designed to showcase a rotating variety of seasonal flora; visitors can enjoy the sight of colorful tulips and violas in the spring, and vibrant salvia blooms during the summer months. The expansive grounds feature well-maintained paths that allow you to immerse yourself in the natural landscape.

The park is divided into several distinct areas, each offering a different botanical experience. The most iconic view is from the "Hana no Oka" (Flower Hill) area, where vast fields of tulips create a stunning colorful carpet. In the spring, the landscape is a beautiful mix of cherry blossoms, violas, and tulips. As summer approaches, the scenery shifts to highlight the brilliant colors of salvia, which typically begins blooming around August.
To see the best blooms, timing is key. Visit between March and May for tulips and cherry blossoms, or from August onwards to see the salvia. The park's opening hours change depending on the season: from April to September (Summer Time), it is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. From October to March (Winter Time), the hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Visiting in the early morning is highly recommended for those seeking a quiet, peaceful stroll in a serene natural environment.
Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through the seasonal flower-filled paths or find relaxation in the Japanese-style garden, which offers a meditative atmosphere. The park is highly accessible for travelers by car, as it features a large parking lot with 250 spaces. It is an excellent destination for photography and light hiking.
The park is surrounded by other nature-rich facilities such as the Citizen's Forest and the Minuma Green Center. It is easily accessible from major hubs like Omiya Station or Ageo Station via local bus services, making it a convenient day trip from central Saitama.
Because the park is quite vast, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Please note that pets are strictly prohibited within the park grounds. Additionally, ball games such as baseball or soccer are not allowed, so please follow the local rules to ensure a pleasant environment for all. While there is a large parking area (250 spaces), it can become crowded during peak flower seasons, so please plan accordingly.
