Cape Nosappu is a stunning scenic cape located in Nosappu, Wakkanai City, Hokkaido, overlooking the vast Soya Bay. The name is said to originate from the Ainu word 'Nossa-m' (meaning 'near the jaw'), reflecting its unique geographical position near the northern tip of Hokkaido. When the sea fog clears, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of the distant, majestic silhouettes of Rishiri Island and Rebun Island. The Wakkanai Lighthouse serves as a prominent landmark for the area. The surrounding landscape is also home to various facilities where you can learn about the local marine environment and wildlife.
