Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort is a sprawling resort facility located in Niseko Town, Abuta District, Hokkaido. During the winter season, it attracts skiers and snowboarders from all over the world seeking its world-renowned powder snow. In the summer, the resort transforms into a hub for outdoor enthusiasts, offering activities such as the summer gondola, hiking, and mountain biking (MTB), ensuring a diverse range of nature-based experiences throughout the year.
The Niseko area has developed into one of Japan's premier snow resorts due to its rich natural environment shaped by volcanic topography and its exceptionally high quality of snowfall. Annupuri, in particular, focuses on a resort management style that emphasizes harmony with nature. This approach extends beyond winter sports to include the promotion of seasonal tourism through nature-based experiences in the summer months.

In winter, the primary draw is skiing and snowboarding across expansive, high-quality slopes. During the summer, visitors can access mountain peaks via the summer gondola and enjoy various programs such as trekking, mountain biking, hot air balloon tethered flights, and bungee trampolines. Additionally, the observation plaza offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Niseko area.
Winter (December to March): This is the peak season for heavy snowfall and high-quality powder snow. January and February are particularly recommended for stable, premium snow conditions. Summer (July to August): The focus shifts to outdoor adventure, featuring the summer gondola, mountain biking, and hot air balloon experiences. Because the available activities change significantly by season, it is important to plan your visit according to your preferred season.

The resort offers a wide variety of seasonal activities. In winter, you can participate in ski or snowboard lessons through various schools. In summer, the resort provides nature-guided tours, mountain walking via the summer gondola, mountain biking, and even hot air balloon experiences. These programs are designed to help visitors fully engage with the local natural environment.
Surrounding Niseko Annupuri are other major destinations such as Rusutsu Resort, along with various accommodation options and restaurants within Niseko Town. The area is also a gateway to many natural trekking routes, allowing visitors to combine their resort activities with exploration of the wider Hokkaido wilderness.
When visiting in winter, please ensure you have heavy-duty thermal wear, waterproof clothing, and appropriate ski or snowboard gear. For summer activities like hiking, mountain biking, or using the gondola, comfortable activewear and proper footwear are essential.
