Nirai Bridge and Kanai Bridge are located on Prefectural Road 86 in Nanjo City, Okinawa. The bridge features a striking design that curves grandly toward the ocean. With a total length of 660m and a height of 80m, it provides an unobstructed view of the vast Pacific Ocean horizon and the sacred island of Kudaka. The name evokes the concept of "Nirai Kanai," a mythical paradise believed to exist beyond the sea in Okinawan culture, making the scenery feel truly otherworldly.

Located in the Chinen area of Nanjo City, the bridge is close to several landmarks, including Chinen Misaki Park (Cape Chinen) and various historical sites. From Cape Chinen, you can enjoy even broader ocean vistas. The bridge is a key part of the southern Okinawa driving route, connecting to Route 331.
Travel by car is the standard way to experience this location. Since you will be exposed to the elements, we recommend bringing sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect against the strong subtropical sun. As the area can be quite windy, please dress according to the weather conditions.
