The surrounding area is well-equipped with facilities designed to convey information regarding the dam's structure and function. The operational hours of the management office and the availability of the management roads are determined by natural conditions, such as seasonal changes and snow levels.

The access road for the dam is typically open from early May to late November each year. During this window, visitors can freely explore the scenery around the dam. Conversely, from late November to early May, the road may be closed due to heavy snowfall, so please check the status before traveling. The Hilltop Naramata museum is generally open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, making daytime visits the most common way to experience the site.
