This facility recreates the "three-room, one-row" architectural style unique to Nara, characterized by a narrow street frontage and an exceptionally deep interior. The building features soft light filtering through wooden lattices (koushi), a charming inner courtyard, and various spaces filled with the wisdom of traditional daily life. The detached buildings like the "Hanare" or "Kura" (storehouse) are also essential for understanding historical construction methods. The facility is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. During the bright daylight hours, the natural light filtering through the lattices creates a stunning contrast.
