Nakatajima Sand Dunes is located in Nakatajima-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, facing the vast Pacific Ocean. Recognized as one of the three largest sand dune systems in Japan, the area covers approximately 48 hectares, stretching about 800m east-to-west and 600m north-to-south.
