The Nagoya Port Building is a landmark high-rise located in Minato Ward, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Standing 63 meters tall, its striking architecture is designed to resemble a white sailing ship floating on the sea. The contrast between the white structure and the blue sky makes it an iconic symbol of the Nagoya Port Garden Pier.
Inside, visitors can enjoy a variety of facilities, including an observation deck 53 meters above ground that offers sweeping views of the port, as well as museums, restaurants, and galleries. Additionally, the 2nd-floor Gallery offers a sophisticated space featuring art-themed around the sea. For those looking to deepen their knowledge, the 3rd and 4th floors house the Nagoya Ocean Museum, which provides engaging exhibits about ships and maritime life.
The building offers different-looking-sceneries depending on the season and time of day. In the summer, special programs may allow you to enjoy the 360-degree night view, where the lights of the industrial port and the city create a romantic atmosphere. We recommend visiting during the day for the bright blue sea or at night to see the city lights sparkle.
