The greatest draw of Momiji-en is the spectacular sight of the maple trees (momiji) turning brilliant colors in autumn. The most highly recommended time to visit is during the autumn foliage season, specifically from October to November. During this time, evening illuminations are often held, allowing you to witness the glowing colors in the peaceful stillness of the night. However, the garden offers charm year-round: you can enjoy mountain cherry blossoms in the spring and colorful azaleas in early summer. To make the most of your visit, we recommend checking the illumination schedule in advance if you plan to visit at night.

For instance, during the autumn "Momiji Matsuri" (Maple Festival), you might encounter local cultural performances, music, or traditional festivities.
