Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo Kitahiroshima is a premier outlet mall located in Kitahiroshima City, Hokkaido. It is the first enclosed (indoor-style) mall in the Mitsui Outlet Park network, specifically designed to provide a comfortable shopping environment regardless of Hokkaido's seasonal weather. The mall features numerous high-quality domestic and international brands, select shops, and manufacturers offering premium products at discounted outlet prices. Its strategic location between central Sapporo and New Chitose Airport makes it an ideal stopover during your travels.
The facility opened in 2010. The initial development featured the "Clover Mall," named after the four-leaf clover shape of Kitahiroshima's mascot, Elfin. In 2014, the facility expanded with the addition of the "Maple Mall," named after the maple tree, which is a symbol of Hokkaido. This expansion significantly increased the shopping area and the diversity of available brands to meet a wider range of visitor needs.
The facility is divided into two main areas with distinct concepts. The brand shop area focuses on fashion and lifestyle goods from famous global and Japanese labels. For those interested in local culture, the "Hokkaido Loco Farm Village" offers a wide selection of Hokkaido's famous agricultural products and local specialties. Additionally, the spacious "Elfin Court" provides a large food court suitable for groups and hosts various seasonal events, making it a great place to relax beyond just shopping.
As an indoor mall, you can enjoy a comfortable experience regardless of Hokkaido's harsh winters or unpredictable weather. Standard shop hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Restaurants operate from 11:00 to 21:00, and the food court is open from 10:30 to 21:00 (last order at 20:30). Since restaurants can become crowded during peak lunch and dinner hours, we recommend visiting slightly outside these times. Seasonal events are held throughout the year, so the atmosphere changes with the seasons.
Beyond the excitement of finding high-end brands at great prices, visitors can enjoy dining at various restaurants and the food court, or discover unique local products. The facility often hosts seasonal events and festivals. With ample rest areas and comprehensive facility services, you can enjoy a relaxed and leisurely time while shopping or traveling.
The area is a major commercial hub, with large-scale facilities like the Costco Wholesale Sapporo nearby. The surrounding district is well-developed with various commercial amenities. Access is convenient via direct bus services from major points including Sapporo Station, Taiheishi Station, Fukuzumi Station, Kitahiroshima Station, and New Chitose Airport.
While the indoor environment is climate-controlled and comfortable, please prepare for the weather when traveling to and from the mall. For payments, most shops accept credit cards and various digital payment methods in addition to cash. The facility is highly accessible, offering wheelchair rentals, priority toilets, nursing rooms, and diaper-changing stations. If you are traveling with pets, please check the specific regulations regarding pet entry before your visit. Please follow facility etiquette to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
