Mitake Keikoku (Mitake Valley) is a breathtaking scenic area located in Ome City, Tokyo. Centered around JR Mitake Station, the area features a well-maintained walking path stretching approximately 4km along both sides of the Tama River. The route spans from the area between Mitake Station and Kawai Station toward the upstream section of Gunba Station, offering a lush, natural environment. Because it is so close to the station and the paths are well-maintained, it is an ideal destination for travelers looking to immerse themselves in nature without heavy trekking.

The greatest draw of Mitake Keikoku is the stunning scenery created by the clear waters of the Tama River and the surrounding rugged topography. Since you will be walking in a natural environment, please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes. While the paths are well-maintained, be mindful of the terrain.
