Mayo Terrace is a specialized facility located in Chofu, Tokyo, dedicated to the world of Kewpie mayonnaise. The facility offers exhibitions centered around the history of mayonnaise, the secrets behind its delicious taste, and the concept of "Shokuiku" (food education). The most striking feature is the "Mayo Dome," a building shaped like a classic mayonnaise bottle, creating a visually captivating space. It is an interactive facility where you can deepen your understanding of a condiment enjoyed daily by many.
Established based on Kewpie's philosophy of food culture and education, this facility aims to share the journey of how a common condiment like mayonnaise came to be. Through various exhibits, visitors can learn about the historical evolution and the cultural role mayonnaise plays in Japanese cuisine, fostering a deeper appreciation for the food we eat.
The facility features several distinctive areas. First, the Kewpie Gallery introduces the history of mayonnaise and various recipes that utilize it. The highlight is the "Mayo Dome," a warm, wooden-textured structure modeled after a 450g bottle of Kewpie Mayonnaise. Here, you can learn about the craftsmanship and the secrets of the product's flavor. The interior is also filled with whimsical designs, such as sofas shaped like vegetables, adding to the playful atmosphere.
Mayo Terrace operates with specific reception hours: 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–16:30 on opening days. While there are no specific seasonal restrictions, please remember that the facility is strictly reservation-only. It is best to visit during the daytime to fully enjoy the exhibits and the unique atmosphere inside the dome.

Mayo Terrace is located in the Sengawa area of Chofu, Tokyo. The neighborhood near Sengawa Station is a pleasant place for a stroll, with many local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Access from Shinjuku is very convenient via the Keio Line.
