Because the waves are very calm, it is highly recommended for beginners and young children.

The greatest draw is undoubtedly the clarity of the ocean. The pristine, transparent water stretching out from the sandy shore captivates every visitor. Additionally, the pine forest lining the coast provides a peaceful space to relax while listening to the soothing sound of the waves. At night, away from the bright lights of the city, you can witness a spectacular display of stars in the night sky.
The peak season for swimming is typically from late July to mid-August. During this period, beachside huts and campsites are in full swing, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere. You can experience different moods throughout the day: playing in the bright sun, watching the sunset over the Sea of Japan in the evening, and gazing at a blanket of stars in the quiet of the night.
Beyond swimming, you can fully utilize the campsite for outdoor leisure. At the pine forest campsite located right next to the sand, you can enjoy barbecues in the sea breeze or experience staying overnight surrounded by nature. The area also serves as a base for water sports, with people enjoying surfing throughout the year. Depending on the season, stargazing is one of the most popular activities to experience.
There are several charming attractions in the vicinity. For instance, within walking distance, you can find hot spring facilities such as Hamasaka Onsen and Nakami Onsen, allowing you to refresh yourself in warm waters after a day at the beach. Additionally, the nearby Uradome Coast area offers sightseeing boat tours to explore the islands and enjoy the stunning coastal scenery.
When enjoying swimming or camping, please prepare items such as swimwear, a change of clothes, towels, and a hat to protect against the sun. If you plan to use the campsite, you will need a tent and camping gear. Please note that camping and barbecues are prohibited on the sandy beach itself; you must use the designated campsite areas. Payments at local shops and facilities can be made via cash or credit card, though availability varies. As English signage is limited, it is helpful to have basic communication tools ready for a smooth experience.
