Later, in the early Showa era, the famous poet duo Tekkan and Akiko Yosano visited the site. They were so moved by its mysterious beauty that they praised it as a "cave filled with wonders," which eventually led to its current name.

Culturally, the cave is also known as a filming location for various films and dramas. It served as a setting for the mystery series featuring Kosuke Kindaichi, making it a popular spot for fans of the genre. More recently, the cave has connected with modern pop culture, with its ambient sounds being used in the popular RPG "Granblue Fantasy: Relink."
