The Koiso Memorial Museum is a dedicated institution for the exhibition and preservation of works by Ryohei Koiso, a prominent Western-style painter with deep ties to Kobe. Ryohei Koiso continued much of his creative work in Kobe, and his extensive collection of art and personal materials were donated to the city of Kobe by his family. The museum serves to honor Koiso's achievements through the collection, preservation, research, and the promotion of art and culture.
