Kofozan Park is a rich natural area located in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The park encompasses the mountains of Asama, Gongen, and Kobo, and is designated as a prefectural natural park. Centered around Mt. Kobo (elevation approx. 235m), the area is perfectly suited for hiking and is very accessible even for beginners. The highlight is the observatory near the summit of Mt. Gongen, which offers a spectacular panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, the Hadano cityscape, and even Sagami Bay on clear days. The park is also famous as a premier cherry blossom destination, with over 1,400 trees in bloom, earning it a spot on the "Kanagawa 100 Famous Flower Spots" list.
