Kitora Kofun is an extremely significant archaeological site located in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture. Believed to have been constructed between the late 7th and early 8th centuries, this burial mound is renowned as a mural-bearing tomb heavily influenced by continental culture, following the discovery of the Takamatsuzuka Kofun.
