The Kewpie Goka Factory offers an educational tour program titled "Open Kitchen." This facility serves as one of the largest production hubs for Kewpie, a beloved Japanese brand. Visitors can learn exactly how mayonnaise and dressings are crafted through a combination of engaging video presentations and real-time observation of the production lines. The program is designed to provide a visual and intuitive understanding of the company's commitment to food safety and the meticulous processes involved in creating high-quality products.
The tour program is structured in several informative steps. It begins with a general overview of the products manufactured at the Goka Factory. Next, guests will watch a video presentation detailing the history of Kewpie mayonnaise and the scientific principles behind its production. Following this, you will be guided through the actual manufacturing process. A standout feature is the "Egg Separator," a high-speed machine that separates yolks, whites, and shells at a staggering rate of 600 eggs per minute—a true marvel of industrial technology. The facility also features various exhibition corners with informative panels explaining product uses and production stages.
The factory tour is a reservation-only program. The flow of the experience consists of an introductory briefing, a video screening, and a guided tour of the production area. During the manufacturing tour, you will walk along a dedicated path that allows you to observe the production lines from a safe and close distance. Regarding food allergies: please note that any tasting or consumption is at the visitor's own discretion. For those with severe allergies or those not accompanied by a guardian, the tour may be conducted in a format that excludes tasting to ensure safety.
