Kashihara Jingu is a prestigious Shinto shrine located in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture. It enshrines Emperor Jimmu, the first Emperor of Japan, and his consort, Empress Jingu. The shrine's unique history began when the Emperor of the Meiji era requested the relocation of the Kensho (Sacred Hall) and Shinkaden from the former Kyoto Imperial Palace to this site.
