Kankodai is a spectacular observation point located at an altitude of 583 meters in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture. Situated within a landscape framed by the Mikura and Nakayama peninsulas that jut into Lake Towada, the view looks directly down upon the deep Nakako Lake. This location is a precious spot that offers a rare, high-angle perspective of the entire Lake Towada basin, creating a seamless connection between the observer and the surrounding natural environment.
The region is part of the Towada-Hachimantai National Park, where the rich natural environment has been preserved for generations.
