The resort is divided into three distinct areas, each offering a unique experience:

  • *Kagura Area**: The flagship area of the resort, characterized by high altitudes and exceptional snow quality. It features many advanced and expert-level courses, making it the top choice for serious skiers and snowboarders. Notably, the 5th Romance Lift begins operation on January 1st, opening up the expert forest courses.
  • *Tashiro Area**: This area is perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers, offering a wide variety of gentle slopes. It also features dedicated courses for cross-country skiing.
  • *Mitsumata Area**: A family-friendly area easily accessible via ropeway from the mountain-foot parking lot. It focuses on beginner and intermediate terrain and includes a dedicated snow park for younger riders.

Seasonal Recommendations

Kagura Ski Resort boasts an incredibly long operating season. The Kagura and Mitsumata areas typically operate from late November through mid-May, while the Tashiro area operates from late December to early May. This allows visitors to enjoy skiing well into the spring. For the most reliable and premium powder experience, we highly recommend visiting between January and March.
