Irago Nanohana Garden is a beautiful botanical space located near Irago Cape on the Atsumi Peninsula in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture. It is most famous as the main venue for the "Atsumi Peninsula Nanohana Festival" held annually from February to March. During this period, the vast grounds are completely covered in a sea of brilliant yellow rapeseed (nanohana) flowers. The striking contrast between the bright yellow blooms, the blue sky, and the deep blue sea creates a deeply moving experience for all visitors.
The Atsumi Peninsula area has long been cherished for its abundant natural resources and proximity to the sea. The cultivation of rapeseed flowers and the preservation of this landscape are vital activities that symbolize the natural beauty of the region. As the main activity involves walking through large outdoor areas, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Since the sun can be quite strong, bringing a hat and sunscreen is a good idea. While there is free parking for approximately 200 cars, it can get very crowded during the festival period; please consider using public transport or the shuttle bus if available. To preserve the natural beauty, please do not pick or damage the flowers and ensure you take all your trash home with you.
