Inaba Senbonzakura 'Sakura-no-Sono' is a celebrated cherry blossom destination located within the Tottori Prefectural Fuse General Sports Park (Yamata Sports Park). The site was completed in 1986 by the Tottori Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Young Men's Division to promote local tourism. The park is home to approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees, with a beautiful avenue of cherry trees leading from the entrance to the heart of the park. With its vast, open lawn areas, it serves as a popular gathering place for people to enjoy the spring season.
This facility was developed in 1986 by the Tottori Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Young Men's Division with the goal of creating a unique tourism resource for the Tottori region. By planting a large number of Yoshino cherry trees to highlight the local natural beauty, the area has become a beloved park for both local residents and tourists alike.
The most striking feature is the sea of approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees. A scenic path of cherry trees lines the road from the park entrance, leading visitors into a wide-open landscape of blossoms and greenery. The peak bloom typically occurs in early April, a time when the density of the cherry blossoms creates a truly spectacular and immersive view.
The best time to visit is from March to April. The blossoms reach their peak in early April. Regarding the parking lot (4th Parking Lot), the standard operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; however, from October to March, the closing time is 17:00 (5:00 PM). Please note that hours and conditions may change depending on the blooming status and weather, so it is recommended to check local updates before your visit.
The park features expansive lawn areas, making it an ideal destination for families and large groups. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing stroll under the cherry tree-lined paths or spend a peaceful afternoon on the grass. It is a perfect place to experience the changing seasons through nature.
Nearby attractions include Koyama Pond, Aoshima Park, and the Hijiri Shrine. Other famous cherry blossom spots, such as the Nagase Great Weeping Cherry Tree, are also located in the vicinity. The area is easily accessible from central Tottori City.
There is no entrance fee to the park itself. However, if you use nearby facilities or parking services, please check local signage. It is helpful to carry cash or electronic money for any incidental expenses in the surrounding area.
English language support is limited. English signage and English-speaking staff may not be readily available.
No advance reservations are required to enter the park.
As you will be spending time outdoors in the spring, we recommend wearing layers to accommodate fluctuating temperatures.
Photography is permitted throughout the park. Please be mindful of other visitors while taking photos.
The park is equipped with wheelchair-accessible parking and accessible entrances.
As this is a public park, please follow local etiquette, such as taking your trash home with you and respecting the lawn areas.
