Hokyo-in is a Rinzai sect temple located in Saga, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto. Known by its mountain name Zennyu-san, the temple enshrines the Eleven-Headed Senju Kannon Bodhisattva. This site is historically significant as the resting place of Ashikaga Yoshisane, a Shogun of the Nanboku-cho period, and Kusunoki Masayoshi, a renowned warrior of the Southern Court. One of its most enchanting features is the garden, which transforms in autumn as maple trees turn brilliant shades of red and orange, eventually carpeting the ground in a vivid display of nature's transition.

You can also reach the area via city bus, getting off at the 'Saga Shakado-mae' stop.
