The beach's high water quality and environmental excellence are officially recognized, having been selected as one of the "100 Select Best Water Bathing Beaches" by the Ministry of the Environment. To ensure a smooth visit, the area features an expansive parking lot capable of accommodating approximately 150 vehicles, making access by car very convenient.

The peak season for swimming is during the summer months of July and August. During this period, all essential facilities such as showers are fully operational, making it the perfect time for a full day of sun and sea. While the beach is accessible in June and September, we recommend checking the availability of facilities in advance. For the best experience, most visitors enjoy the beach during the bright daylight hours from morning to early afternoon, though please be mindful of the strong sun.
At Hatsu Beach, the main activity is enjoying the sea. The calm waves make it an ideal environment for water play and sandcastle building, which is perfect for children. Additionally, the area offers scenic cycling routes where you can feel the refreshing sea breeze while riding. Whether you are looking for an active day or a slow-paced moment watching the waves, the well-equipped facilities allow for a versatile experience.
The area is well-equipped to meet the needs of travelers. A large parking lot for 150 cars is located close to the beach, ensuring easy access for drivers. After a refreshing dip in the ocean, you can enjoy local cuisine at nearby restaurants or stay overnight at local accommodations. The surrounding region also features hot spring (onsen) facilities and blueberry farms, making it a perfect stop on a scenic driving route through Fukuoka.
To enjoy your time at the beach, please bring swimwear, a change of clothes, sandals, and sunscreen. While shower facilities are available during the summer, please note that many facilities may require cash payments; carrying small change is recommended. While the area is a public space, please practice good etiquette by taking your trash home or using designated bins. Photography is permitted and encouraged, but please be respectful of the privacy of other visitors. Please note that movement on the sandy areas may be challenging for those with limited mobility due to the uneven terrain.
