Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park is a premier ski resort located in Hakuba Village, Kitaazumi District, Nagano Prefecture. The name is derived from the concept of '4 Seasons, 7 Days,' reflecting its mission to provide high-quality outdoor experiences throughout the entire year. In winter, it is a top-tier destination for skiing and snowboarding. In summer, it transforms into the 'Hakuba47 Mountain Sports Park,' offering a variety of activities such as trekking, mountain biking, BBQ, and outdoor obstacle courses.
Opened in December 1990, the resort has become a cornerstone of the Hakuba area's development as a world-class winter sports hub. While it was previously operated under the influence of the Chukyo TV group, the current management structure is associated with American investment interests. Over the decades, it has evolved alongside the rich natural environment of the Hakuba region to become a globally recognized destination.
From the slopes, visitors can enjoy majestic, panoramic views of the Hakuba Alps, including peaks like Mt. Goryu and Mt. Karamatsu. The resort is famous for its high-quality snow and well-maintained terrain parks featuring various obstacles for different skill levels. A significant highlight is the connection to Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort; depending on your lift pass type, you can seamlessly transition between the two areas for an even larger skiing-experience. The summit reaches an elevation of 1,676m at Jizo-no-atama.
During the winter season (roughly December to March), the focus is on high-quality powder snow. January and February are particularly recommended when the snow quality is most stable. In the summer, the resort operates as a Mountain Sports Park, where visitors can enjoy trekking through nature, mountain biking, and BBQ sessions. Each season offers a completely different way to experience the beauty of the mountains.
Winter enthusiasts can enjoy downhill skiing, snowboarding, and riding in the specialized snow park. Summer visitors can engage in mountain biking, trekking, and outdoor obstacle courses. By using a combined pass with Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort, you can significantly expand your range of movement and exploration across the mountain range.
The resort is physically connected to the adjacent Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort via lifts and courses. The entire Hakuba area is a vibrant hub for travelers, featuring numerous accommodation facilities and restaurants, making it an ideal base for both après-ski and post-activity relaxation.
For winter sports, proper insulated, waterproof ski/snowboard wear, gloves, goggles, and a helmet are essential. For summer activities, wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring gear suitable for changing mountain weather. Regarding payments, the resort accepts Cash, Credit Cards, WAON, various IC cards (transportation cards), and PayPay. Please note that some facilities like certain restaurants or ticket centers may have limited payment options. If you lose your lift pass, please be aware that there are specific procedures for returning or replacing it.
