Hakka Pass Observatory is a premier viewpoint located at an altitude of 631 meters in Kosaka Town, Akita Prefecture. Positioned at the terminus of the scenic Jukai Line, it is widely recognized as one of the best spots to overlook the majestic Lake Towada. In September and October, the outer rim mountains are painted in brilliant autumn colors, and in winter, the landscape settles into a serene, snow-covered stillness.
