The Hachiman Mountain Ropeway connects the base station to the summit of Mt. Hachiman in Omihachiman City, Shiga Prefecture. Seasonal Recommendations & Operating Hours
The ropeway operates year-round from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that the last departure for the upward trip is at 4:30 PM. Operating hours may be extended during certain seasons or special events.

After arriving at the summit station, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the area. A typical walking tour at the summit takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There are also routes available for descending from the summit back to the base.

*Reservations:** No advance reservations are required to ride the ropeway.
*Prohibited Items:** Do not bring explosives, flammable liquids (excluding standard lighters), highly flammable or corrosive substances, high-pressure gases, or items that may cause damage to the gondola or disturb other passengers.
*Pets:** Only service animals (such as guide dogs, hearing dogs, or assistance dogs) are permitted. Other pets are not allowed.
*Strollers:** If using a stroller, it must be folded before entering the gondola. Alternatively, strollers can be stored at the summit or base stations.
*Wheelchairs:** Accessibility for wheelchairs may be limited in certain areas.
*Etiquette & Safety:** Please board the gondola in an orderly manner without pushing. Follow staff instructions regarding capacity. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the stations and inside the gondolas. In the event of an emergency stop, please remain calm and follow the instructions provided via the onboard radio system.
