Gifu City Tower 43 is a high-rise multi-purpose building exceeding 200 meters in height, situated on the west side of JR Gifu Station. Characterized by its beautiful glass-walled atrium, this tower has become a beloved landmark of Gifu City. The most significant feature is the free observation deck located on the 43rd floor. The panoramic view spreading out from this high altitude offers a precious and unforgettable experience for all visitors.
This facility was constructed as part of the redevelopment of the JR Gifu Station area, aiming to enhance local convenience and the urban landscape. Rather than being just a skyscraper, it serves a complex role as a hub integrating commercial facilities, restaurants, welfare/medical facilities, and observation spaces. As a center of Gifu's urban functions, it serves as an important base for both local residents and tourists.

The greatest highlight is the observation deck on the 43rd floor. From this unobstructed high-altitude vantage point, you can observe the entire cityscape of Gifu. On clear days, you can even see the silhouette of Mt. Kinka and other beautiful mountain ranges in the distance. Additionally, the glass-walled atrium inside the building offers an open, airy design that is a beautiful architectural feature in itself.
The observation deck is open from 10:00 to 22:00, allowing you to enjoy not only the bright daytime scenery but also the stunning night views. During the day, you can clearly observe the layout of the city; at dusk, you can witness the changing colors of the sky; and at night, you can enjoy the beautiful lights of the city. The charm of the view changes with the seasons, as the mountain silhouettes and sky clarity vary depending on when you visit.

In addition to viewing the scenery from the observation deck, the tower houses a variety of facilities. From the 1st to the 4th floors, you will find commercial shops, restaurants, and cafes, allowing you to feel the dynamism of the city while enjoying dining or shopping. After taking in the view, you can spend a relaxing time at the various facilities within the tower.
The tower is in an extremely convenient location, only about a 3-minute walk from JR Gifu Station, making it easily accessible via public transportation. Within walking distance of Gifu Station, you can find various historical streets and sightseeing spots, making the tower a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby bus stops also make it easy to travel further into Gifu City.
The tower is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring barrier-free paths suitable for wheelchair users. While there are no specific requirements for what to bring to enjoy the view, if you plan to enjoy the night scenery, clothing that is easy to walk in even in dim lighting is recommended. As this is a public space, please be mindful of general etiquette and maintain a respectful environment.
