Kargane-tsutsumi, located along the banks of the Fuji River, is a beautiful destination featuring approximately 120 cherry trees planted along a 2-kilometer-long jogging course. During the spring season, the landscape is transformed by the vibrant colors of blooming rapeseed flowers (nanohana) and the soft pink of the cherry blossoms, creating a spectacular view alongside the flowing Fuji River. It is considered one of the most significant cherry blossom viewing spots in Fuji City.
This area is known as a lush, natural space that utilizes the natural topography of the Fuji River embankments. It serves as a part of the historical landscape of Fuji City, providing a scenic view that has been cherished by the local community for generations. The area is also connected to the local historical context of the region, including the historical background related to the 'Korun San-dai and Kargane-tsutsumi' area.

The well-maintained 2-kilometer jogging course along the embankment is perfect for exercise or a relaxing walk. There are several other nearby spots where you can enjoy different seasonal flora. For instance, you can visit Iwamoto-yama Park for roses, or Fuji Nishi Park and Tenma Shinsui Park for hydrangeas, allowing you to create a comprehensive sightseeing route through Fuji City.
