Furano Cheese Factory is a facility located in the beautiful natural environment of Furano, Hokkaido, specializing in the production and sale of high-quality dairy products using abundant fresh milk. Beyond just learning about the manufacturing process, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of sensory experiences, including tasting freshly made cheese, authentic pizza, and rich ice milk. The greatest charm of this facility is the ability to enjoy a luxurious culinary experience unique to Hokkaido while surrounded by the wonderful aroma of cheese.
Main Attractions
There are many diverse attractions at Furano Cheese Factory to keep visitors entertained. First, there is a section where you can observe the cheese-making process and aging rooms up close, allowing you to learn how delicious cheese is crafted. Additionally, the onsite "Pizza Workshop" uses a traditional wood-fired oven imported from Naples, allowing you to savor authentic pizza made with local flour and plenty of fresh mozzarella cheese. Furthermore, the adjacent "Ice Milk Workshop" is extremely popular among tourists, offering rich soft-serve ice cream and ice milk made from fresh milk. The souvenir shop also offers a wide selection of exclusive goods and local specialties found only here.

Seasonal Recommendations
There are different ways to enjoy Furano Cheese Factory depending on the season. For example, from spring to summer, seasonal limited-edition menus may become available. Please note that the Pizza Workshop operates on a different schedule than the main facility; while the general hours are 9:00–17:00, the pizza workshop is open from 10:30 to 16:00, so we recommend visiting during lunchtime. Since the lineup of ice milk and seasonal sweets may change depending on the time of year, every visit can bring new discoveries.
Workshops & Activities
The "Handmade Experience Workshop" offers programs that allow you to dive deeper into the joy of food. You can learn about Hokkaido's food culture through hands-on activities such as making cheese, butter, ice cream, and even bread. These experiences allow you to create special, personal memories. We recommend checking the details and availability of these workshops in advance.
Surrounding Area
The Furano area features many spots worth visiting alongside your trip to the cheese factory. You can enjoy scenic landscapes with beautiful seasonal flowers, shopping facilities, and cafes like "Ningle Terrace" that harmonize with nature. You can easily create a fulfilling sightseeing plan that combines gourmet food with the stunning scenery of Furano.
