FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace is a premier observation facility located in Ashikawa, Fuefuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, specifically designed to showcase the majesty of Mt. Fuji. The site offers multiple vantage points to view the iconic mountain alongside Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka. The facility consists of two distinct areas: the "First Terrace" and the "Second Terrace," each providing a unique perspective of the landscape. The entrance area, Lily Bell Hütte, features a cafe and shop, providing a perfect environment to relax and enjoy the view.
The facility was developed to provide public access to the stunning views of Mt. Fuji while preserving the natural environment within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The surrounding area is designated as a water resource conservation forest and a special protection zone, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between nature conservation and tourism. FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace serves as a vital scenic spot for both locals and international visitors.
The main attraction is the sweeping panoramic view from the two terraces. The "First Terrace," located about 80 meters east, serves as an excellent spot for photography. The "Second Terrace," just a 5-minute walk from the shuttle bus stop, allows you to feel the vast landscape right before your eyes. Additionally, you can enjoy local specialties, coffee, and light snacks at the entrance facility, Lily Bell Hütte.
FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace offers different scenery depending on the season. The facility operates on specific schedules for the peak season (April to late November) and the winter season (December to March). We highly recommend checking the live camera footage available online to check the weather and visibility before your visit, as the clarity of Mt. Fuji changes with the seasons and weather conditions.
Visitors can enjoy photography with the grand backdrop of Mt. Fuji or simply relax on the terraces. At Lily Bell Hütte, you can enjoy local flavors through their cafe and shop. The journey via the dedicated shuttle bus is also part of the scenic experience. Please note that if you intend to use a drone for photography, you must obtain prior permission from the Yamanashi Fuji/Tobu Forest Environment Office.
Near the entrance, Lily Bell Hütte, there is a parking lot with 40 spaces. The surrounding area also features local dining options such as "Suzuran no Sato Sawatsutei" and the local produce shop "Ogosso-ya," where you can experience authentic local ingredients and cuisine.
Access to the terraces is restricted to the dedicated shuttle bus from Lily Bell Hütte (private cars are not allowed on the upper paths). As the terraces do not have structures to block sun or rain, please bring appropriate clothing and weather gear. Please remember to take your trash home, refrain from feeding wildlife, and avoid any activities like camping or picking plants. Pets are allowed if they are in a carrier and meet the size limits (under 10kg and 1m in length).
