Fuji Sansaku Park is a municipal quasi-urban park designed to maximize the stunning views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding natural environment. The landscape utilizes the natural slope to create a beautiful vista, featuring various trees such as the 'Fuji Sakura' and 'Renge Tsutsuji' (Azalea). The park includes a nature study area where visitors can observe wildflowers native to the northern foothills of Mt. Fuji, as well as a well-maintained lawn area for relaxation.
The park was developed to preserve and showcase the natural environment at the foot of Mt. Fuji. It serves as a place for both observation and learning about the local ecosystem. The trees and flowers planted throughout the park are selected to represent the natural heritage of this specific region, allowing visitors to connect deeply with the local landscape.
The park features several distinct areas where you can observe nature alongside the majestic silhouette of Mt. Fuji. Key highlights include the viewing areas for the mountain and specialized zones featuring seasonal plants. The park is equipped with well-maintained walking paths and a lawn area, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while navigating the natural terrain. Opening hours vary depending on the season. Generally, the park is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, but closing times are extended during the summer and autumn months. From May 15 to August 31, the park stays open until 7:00 PM, and from September 1 to September 30, it stays open until 6:30 PM. To enjoy the best views of Mt. Fuji and the seasonal blooms, we recommend visiting on a clear, sunny day.
Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through the park using the well-maintained walking paths and the main slope. The nature study area provides a wonderful opportunity to observe wildflowers native to the northern foothills of Mt. Fuji. Whether you are looking for a quiet moment on the lawn or an educational walk through the greenery, the park's layout is designed to highlight the natural topography.
The area around the park is home to several tourist and public facilities in Fujiyoshida City. Nearby attractions include the Mt. Fuji Arena, Michi-no-Eki Fujiyoshida (Roadside Station), the History and Folklore Museum, and the Local Industry Center. The park is also located near National Route 138, a major sightseeing route around the Mt. Fuji area.
When exploring the park, please act with respect for the natural environment. Picking plants, damaging facilities, or making loud noises is strictly prohibited. Please be aware that wild boar traps may be installed in certain areas of the park; please keep a safe distance. Always take your trash home with you. Pets are not allowed within the park. For your comfort, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes suitable for uneven terrain.
