Flower Land Kamifurano is a vast, sprawling flower garden located in the scenic Kamifurano area of Hokkaido. It is celebrated as one of the representative sightseeing spots in the Furano region, captivating visitors with its ever-changing colors and fragrances. The primary highlight is the breathtaking landscape created by diverse flowers that change their appearance with every season. On the vast hills, you can enjoy a slow, peaceful time while feeling the gentle natural breeze.
This location boasts a magnificent setting with views of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, including peaks like Mt. Asahi-dake and Mt. Tokachi-dake. The natural environment has been carefully preserved to allow the seasonal beauty of blooming flowers to be enjoyed by many. To make this natural beauty more accessible to travelers, the garden is open to the public with free admission.

The garden features a wide variety of flowers that bloom throughout the year. Most notably, around mid-July, the iconic lavender of Furano reaches its peak, painting the entire landscape in a stunning shade of purple. Depending on the season, you can also discover dahlias, marigolds, salvias, and cockscomb, ensuring a new discovery with every visit. Walking through the expansive grounds allows you to enjoy the shifting colors of nature.
The scenery changes significantly depending on the season. Centered around the peak lavender season in July, a succession of seasonal flowers blooms from early summer through autumn. The contrast between the bright blue sky and the vivid colors of the flowers is particularly beautiful during midday on clear days, making it an ideal time for photography. Please note that the garden is closed during the winter season (December to February), so please check the operating-period schedule before your visit.

There are many ways to enjoy your visit beyond just walking. A signature activity is the "Sightseeing Tractor Bus" tour. This allows you to efficiently and comfortably tour the most beautiful parts of the vast flower fields. Additionally, the shop located next to the main entrance offers local souvenirs, agricultural products, and various hands-on experience menus, allowing you to create lasting memories of your trip.
Located in Kamifurano, the area is surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes. As travel in this region is primarily by car, we recommend combining a visit here with other nearby sightseeing spots to fully experience the charm of the Furano area. Depending on the season, the surrounding hilly landscapes also offer beautiful vistas.

The garden is quite large, and most visitors explore on foot. As some paths may be uneven, we strongly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Since there is little shade, it is also important to prepare for the sun with items like hats and sunscreen.
