FLIGHT OF DREAMS is an aviation-themed commercial complex located at Chubu Centrair International Airport in Aichi Prefecture. The centerpiece of the facility is the first-ever Boeing 787 Dreamliner (ZA001), donated by the Boeing Company, which is displayed indoors for visitors to admire. The facility is divided into two main areas: "FLIGHT PARK," which focuses on aviation technology and aircraft displays, and "Seattle Terrace," a commercial area inspired by the atmosphere of Seattle, USA.
The displayed Boeing 787 Dreamliner (Registration: ZA001) completed its maiden flight on December 15, 2009. Approximately 35% of the components for the Boeing 787 were manufactured using advanced technology from Japanese companies such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and SUBARU. These parts were then transported to Seattle via the Boeing Dreamlifter. This facility stands as a symbol of the technological partnership between Japan and the United States, celebrating the history of aerospace engineering and international cooperation.
The facility offers a variety of immersive aviation displays. In the FLIGHT PARK, you can stand beside the actual Boeing 787 Dreamliner and explore an authentic cockpit and engine displays. These elements provide a visual and tactile understanding of aircraft structure and mechanics. In the Seattle Terrace, you can immerse yourself in the vibe of Seattle—the birthplace of Boeing—featuring shops with exclusive Boeing merchandise imported from Seattle and various dining options.
The facility is open year-round starting from 10:00 AM. FLIGHT PARK closes at 17:00, while the Seattle Terrace remains open until 18:30. The daytime is a popular time for families and aviation enthusiasts. In the evening, the Seattle Terrace offers a more relaxed atmosphere for dining and shopping. Since the exhibits are indoors, you can enjoy these attractions regardless of the weather or season.
In the exhibition area, you can observe real-life cockpits and engines up close. For families, there is a dedicated "Kids Area" designed for children aged 0 to 12, providing a safe and weather-proof environment for play. At the Seattle Terrace, you can shop for unique aviation-related items and limited-edition goods at "LUXURY FLIGHT." Whether you are looking to learn about aerospace or simply enjoy the Seattle culture, there is something for everyone.
Located within Chubu Centrair International Airport, the facility is easily accessible alongside other airport amenities such as observation decks, shops, and restaurants. It is highly convenient to visit either before or after your flight.
As the facility is quite large, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Please refrain from touching the exhibits (such as the cockpit or engines) or entering restricted areas. While most shops in the Seattle Terrace accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and transportation IC cards, some small-scale transactions may require cash, so please check in advance. While the facility is largely barrier-free, please be aware that some display areas may have slight steps.
