Busena Marine Park is a marine park where you can experience the beautiful seas and rich natural environment of Okinawa up close. The most distinctive feature is the ability to observe the world beneath the waves without even getting wet. With the Underwater Observatory, where you can watch colorful tropical fish, and the unique whale-shaped glass-bottom boat, you can enjoy an enchanting view that feels like stepping into a mythical sea palace. The sight of the clear emerald green waters and vibrant coral reefs provides a sense of deep relaxation and wonder.
This area plays a vital role in preserving and sharing the beauty of Okinawa's rich marine ecosystem. For many years, the park has worked to coexist with Okinawa's natural environment while building a safe way for tourists to observe the underwater world. Beyond being a simple leisure facility, it serves as a hub for passing the beauty of Okinawa's nature down to future generations.

The main attractions of Busena Marine Park are the Underwater Observatory and the Glass-bottom Boat. The Underwater Observatory features windows built into the sea, allowing you to observe colorful tropical fish and coral reefs from a stable, dry vantage point. The whale-shaped glass-bottom boat offers an immersive experience, taking you from the surface down toward the seabed, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery through the glass bottom. Both attractions are perfect for travelers who cannot swim or simply prefer to stay dry while enjoying the wonders of the Okinawa ocean.
The appearance of the underwater world changes depending on the season. The visibility is particularly striking during periods of strong sunlight or on clear, bright mornings when the water appears most transparent. Please note that operating hours for the glass-bottom boat and observatory vary by season: from April to October, they operate until 17:30, and from November to March, they operate until 17:00. Visiting during the bright daylight hours will allow you to see the colors of the sea most vividly.

Activities here focus on the sensation of exploring the ocean depths. At the Underwater Observatory, you can enjoy a quiet, relaxing time watching the marine life drift by. In contrast, the glass-bottom boat allows for a more dynamic experience as you move across the water's surface to see the changing scenery. Both experiences offer a precious opportunity to feel the proximity of Okinawa's natural beauty.
The area surrounding Busena Marine Park is also known for its beautiful coastal driving routes. You can fully enjoy the tropical resort atmosphere while driving through scenic landscapes lined with palm trees. With many nearby resorts, it is an ideal area to visit during your sightseeing itinerary.
When using the Underwater Observatory or the glass-bottom boat, no special clothing or swimwear is required; you can enjoy the experience in your regular sightseeing attire. However, please be aware that operations may be canceled due to weather or sea conditions, so it is highly recommended to check the status in advance. Please be mindful of the natural environment and follow local instructions to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
