Bokuka no Sato is a relaxing theme park located at an altitude of 1,000 meters in the Hirugano Plateau of Oku-Mino, Gifu Prefecture. There are different highlights depending on when you visit. The peak for tulips is late April to early May, while lavender is at its best in June and July. In winter, the landscape turns into a white wonderland perfect for snow activities like sledding. For the best experience, we recommend arriving in the morning to enjoy activities like milking sessions or animal walks, and checking the schedule for afternoon stage shows and special seasonal events.
Bokuka no Sato offers a wide variety of hands-on experiences to connect with nature. You can create your own unique items at the Kobboku Museum (plate making), the Handmade Workshop (snow globe making), or the Floral House (potpourri filling). On weekends and holidays, food-related workshops such as bread or pizza making are also frequently held. These activities provide a wonderful way to nurture creativity in a natural setting.
Bokuka no Sato serves as an excellent base for exploring the beautiful sights of Gifu Prefecture. It is approximately a 60-minute drive from world-famous heritage sites like Shirakawa-go, the historic streets of Takayama, and the charming town of Gujo Hachiman. Travelers can easily combine a high-altitude nature experience with cultural sightseeing.
Because the park is located at 1,000m altitude, temperatures are significantly lower than in the lowlands. Even in summer, it can be cool, and in winter, it is quite cold. Please bring appropriate clothing, such as a light jacket for summer or heavy winter gear for the snowy season. Please note that the
