If you choose to use a guide, please book at least one week in advance.
The waterfall is situated in the deep, beautiful reaches of the Nakamata Valley. The surrounding area features mountainous landscapes like Mt. Morikiri, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. You may also encounter local cultural elements and traditional treats, such as butter mochi or local sake, in the nearby regions.
As this is a nature-based trekking route, please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy hiking shoes or trekking boots. Bring rain gear and warm layers to prepare for sudden weather changes. It is essential to check the latest road status for the Bunamori Line (City Road) before traveling. Please respect nature by carrying out all trash and staying on designated paths. Note that while there are no formal payment facilities at the falls, we recommend carrying cash for any local transportation or incidental expenses in the mountainous area.
