The ANA Blue Hangar Tour is a specialized program provided by the ANA Group's maintenance division. It offers a rare look inside an aircraft hangar, where you can witness the massive scale, the sounds, and the intense atmosphere of a real maintenance site. This is a premier opportunity to observe the high-level technical skills required to ensure safe air travel and to understand the vital role of aircraft maintenance.
This tour is conducted as part of the ANA Group's social contribution initiatives. Its primary goal is to raise awareness about the critical role of the maintenance division in supporting safe flight operations. Beyond simple observation, the facility provides opportunities for simulated maintenance experiences, serving as an important bridge to communicate Japan's advanced aviation technology and its rigorous commitment to safety.
The highlight of the tour is the view inside the hangar, where massive aircraft are stationed. You will feel the overwhelming scale of the planes and the professional movements of the engineers up close. Additionally, the program includes introductions to the various companies within the ANA Group that make up the maintenance division, along with facilities designed for simulated maintenance tasks, providing a multi-dimensional understanding of the aviation industry.
The tour is held five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday (Closed on Sundays, Mondays, Public Holidays, and during the New Year holidays). There are five scheduled time slots throughout the day between 09:30 and 16:45. There is also a 30-minute window before and after the tour to explore the e.TEAM ANA exhibition hall, allowing you to deepen your knowledge of the maintenance division in an efficient way.
Participants can observe how actual aircraft are maintained through the hangar tour. The facility also features specialized areas for simulated maintenance work, allowing visitors to understand the maintenance process through intuitive, hands-on learning rather than just theory. This makes the tour an excellent educational experience for children and aviation enthusiasts alike.
As this facility is located within the industrial area of the airport, there are no nearby tourist attractions. After the tour, visitors should use public transportation to return to central Tokyo or other nearby areas. It is highly recommended to plan your travel using public transport in advance.
Advance internet reservation is mandatory to participate in this tour. For safety reasons, the minimum age requirement is 6 years old (or 1st grade of elementary school). Please note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted to enter, even if accompanied by a guardian.
