The museum was constructed on the former site of the Japanese Red Cross headquarters. We highly recommend visiting during daylight hours, when the natural light from the skylights illuminates the interior, highlighting the colors of the art and the textures of the concrete. As the sun moves, the shifting shadows create a different visual experience, making the museum's appearance change throughout the day.
