Originally named "Takane Ruby," the variety has evolved into even more intense shades, such as "Takane Ruby 2011." This red buckwheat represents a precious cultural heritage where local nature and agricultural innovation meet.
The greatest highlight is the sight of the red buckwheat flowers blooming from late September to early October. The fields of vivid pink and crimson are a world-famous photogenic spot. During the blooming season, the "Aka-soba no Sato Festival" is held, allowing visitors to experience the local community's energy. Well-maintained walking paths are available within the flower fields, allowing you to experience the natural colors up close.
The most beautiful time to visit is the autumn season, specifically from late September to early October. During this period, the temperatures are pleasant, making it ideal for walking.
