Aichi Expo Memorial Park, commonly known as Moricoro Park, is a vast natural park located in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture. The park was developed on the site of the 2005 World Expo (Expo Aichi Komichi). The expansive grounds feature lush forests and various facilities designed for family enjoyment, including playgrounds and experiential learning centers. The park serves as a space for environmental conservation and provides a much deeper experience than a typical city park.
The park is the former site of the 2005 International Expo (Expo Aichi, Japan). It continues to uphold the theme of "Nature's Wisdom" showcased during the Expo. At "Mori no Gakusha," visitors can join guided tours to walk through the forest with an expert or participate in craft workshops using natural materials. For those seeking more active engagement, the park also features an ice skating rink, ensuring there is plenty to do regardless of the season.
The park presents different beautiful faces throughout the seasons. From spring to summer, the greenery deepens, and outdoor events are frequent. In autumn, the changing foliage makes it a perfect time for strolls, while in winter, the ice skating rink provides seasonal fun. Operating hours are 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM from April to October, and 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM from November to March. Please note that many facilities are closed on Tuesdays, so it is important to check the schedule before visiting.
