Samuhara Shrine, located in Utemachi-bori, Nishi-ku, Osaka, is dedicated to Amenominakanushi-no-Okami, Takami Musubi-no-Okami, and Kamimusubi-no-Okami.
This shrine is visited by many people because the ancient "Samuhara" character is believed to offer protection from misfortune and promote good health.
"Samuhara" is the collective name for these three deities, considered the first to be born according to the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters).
The shrine's origins are said to trace back to an ancient shrine in Kamo-cho, Hinumoyama, Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture.
A branch shrine was then established in Osaka from the original shrine in Okayama, first as a sub-shrine of the Hokkoku Shrine in Nakanoshima, Osaka, before moving to its current location.
Samuhara Shrine offers "Goshinkan," rings imbued with wishes. These rings are extremely popular and notoriously difficult to obtain.
