Fuji Flower and Bird Garden was originally opened as "Fuji International Flower Garden" in 1990 and changed to its current name in 2008. Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji in the Asagiri Plateau, it offers visitors a chance to interact with flowers and birds in a lush natural environment. The park features an all-weather, climate-controlled greenhouse for year-round comfort. It is particularly known for its owl exhibition, housing approximately 70 owls of about 30 different species. It also functions as a breeding center, and many of the owls are raised from chicks and are accustomed to human interaction. The bird show offers a thrilling performance where trained owls and hawks soar over the audience's heads. In addition, the large greenhouse, filled with seasonal flowers such as begonias and fuchsias, captivates visitors. It is a popular tourist spot around Mt. Fuji and is beloved as a place to enjoy nature.
