Event Overview

Omoriyama Zoo hosts the special 'Evening Cool Zoo' every Saturday throughout July. As the summer heat fades into a pleasant evening, enjoy a unique atmosphere with extended hours. The event features a variety of seasonal attractions, including seasonal wind chimes and refreshing mini pools, creating a perfect setting to observe animals in a different light.

Highlights & Activities

Experience the animals in a whole new way with our weekly rotating special events. Each Saturday offers a unique way to observe the residents:

  • *July 4**: Guinea Pig Interaction Time
  • *July 11**: Monkey House 'Tenku no Rakuen' Dinner Presentation
  • *July 18**: Lion Wild Behavior Special Viewing
  • *July 25**: Special Ice Treat for the African Elephants

Beyond the animals, the zoo is decorated with traditional wind chimes, and mini pools are set up at the Great Roof Plaza and Forest Stage Plaza. It is a wonderful way to experience the soothing sounds and refreshing vibes of a Japanese summer.

The event is held at Omoriyama Zoo. During this period, the zoo stays open later than usual.

Important Information

During the 'Evening Cool Zoo' period, the zoo remains open until 19:00. Please note that the final entry is at 18:30. The souvenir shop (Zoo Shop) remains open until 19:30. For even more fun, the adjacent 'Omoriyama Yuenchi Anipa' amusement park is open until 21:00, allowing you to extend your evening out.

What to Bring & Etiquette

If you plan to use the mini pools, please bring a towel and a change of clothes. As event details may change, please check the official website for the latest updates.
