The Yasaka Jinja Festival is a traditional event held in the Ichiba district of Toei, Aichi Prefecture. A major highlight of this event is the Ichiba District Fireworks Display, featuring special firework displays during the first night's evening festivities. The event is famous for its unique displays that utilize the natural riverside environment.
The main attraction is the Teutsu Hanabi (hand-held firework tubes) which can be viewed from the riverside walkways and bridges. You can also witness the rare sight of 'Goldfish Fireworks'—small, glowing lights floating down the river. These displays are specially designed to harmonize with the riverside landscape.
The event takes place from August 1, 2026 (Sat) to August 2, 2026 (Sun). The special fireworks, including the Teutsu Hanabi and Goldfish Fireworks, are held during the evening festival on the first night.
