This is a special trekking event set against the backdrop of Miyanoura-dake (the highest peak in Kyushu at 1,936m) and the nearby Toisekirai area. The highlight is witnessing the seasonal blooming of the Shakuna-ge (Rhododendron), a rare sight that only occurs during this period.
Highlights & Routes
Experience the vitality of alpine plants and breathtaking views through two distinct routes:
*Miyanoura-dake Course**: A challenging trek to the highest peak in Kyushu. While it requires higher physical ability due to the elevation gain, the panoramic view from the summit is spectacular. Recommended for serious hikers.
*Toisekirai Course**: An intermediate-level course offering wonderful views of Mt. Ogidake and Mt. Abura. This is a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the Shakuna-ge while following a major route toward Miyanoura-dake.
